Giveaway!

There is a lady in San Clemente who I have seen at least a hundred times. Every day she walks up and down the streets of San Clemente gathering flowers in her hand. She is always wearing some sort of funny hat and lots of colors. Her simpleness inspires me. Maybe it is her age that helps her to enjoy the little things; maybe she just loves flowers. Either way, she inspires me.

Yesterday as I was coming out of my house there she was, walking up the street, flowers in hand. I said hello and she asked me the name of the street. I told her and wished her a good day and was on my way. I talked to the flower lady.

I hope everyday I can take time to enjoy the flowers!

So in honor of the flower lady... I am giving away a pack of three produce bags in whatever three colors you would like. Red, Blue, Yellow, Sage Green, Pink, Orange, and White.

So leave me a message and tell me how color has changed your life!

The drawing will end, and I will pick the winner at random on September 10th!

Hi Rachel, I found your blog by way of your interview on flipflops & applesauce... when I think of color the first thing that comes to mind is my move from Southern California to Colorado. On one hand I got to experience such vibrant fall colors last year for the first time and a super lush green summer, but on the other hand, winter was bleak, white, brown, and that lack of color really affected me, making more that much more thankful for the colors of summer & fall, or rather the year-round colors of California that I miss!

Hey girl, I think my love for photography and my love of flowers (weddings) all have to do with my love of color (or lack of - I love black and white photos). You can do so much with color - it's such a blessing..................

How has color changed my life?

Well as a hairstylist it helps my clients look about 20 years younger by hiding their grays or it adds alittle funk and dimension to brighten up someone.

As a mom of a girl it added a ton of bright pink to our home and as a mom of a boy it has added a ton of baby blue too.

Finding the right color's for my home can be a challenge though. I'm better at finding the right color for someone's face. :)

Colour, in the form of handpainted yarns, was one of the things that made me start knitting, and that's given me hours and hours of relaxation and entertainment.

Hi Rachel :). Thought I'd participate in the give-away! Color is a HUGE part of my life! When I was little I always wanted to pick out my own clothes because I wanted to wear the bright ones :). And now I try to make the brightest earrings I can, I love to stand out, and I hope i can help others stand out too heh.

Color is something that has grown with me, through different seasons of my life.
My Mom dressed me entirely in pink from age 0-9, (I am not making this up - seriously every photo in our album I am wearing some kind of pink creation), then when I was old enough to realize I rebelled wearing anything but pink, this lasted until I was about 19 and realized that almost every piece of clothing I owned was blue!
From then on I tried to incorporate color, and branch out with some cool accessories - green bag, pink shoes...
But, life has a funny way of coming full circle, I am a new mom and I have realized why my Mom dressed me in so much pink - people often ask me how old my little boy is (when she is wearing a PINK DRESS!).
Still, a little yellow, green and purple in a baby's life is not such a bad thing!
