Celebrate life!

Today is the 2nd anniversary of the surgery that changed my life!

Two years ago today I had a mass in my chest removed. It was very large and affected my daily life. I was sick for about 4 years. I stayed pretty active until my senior year in high school when I had to be home schooled because I couldn't walk to my classes and I was overly exhausted (sleeping about 18 hours a day). I was diagnosed with Castlemans disease after my surgery. My surgery left me with a beautiful 7 1/2 inch scar going down my sternum (the middle bone holding my ribs together).

These pictures were taken about 4 days after surgery, I was finally out of the Cardiac Intensive Care unit! Yay!

I am so thankful for what the Lord has brought me through! I know he has great plans for me! Today I am going to celebrate!

So glad that those scary days are behind us. I am glad that you are able to "be normal" again.
